This post is to give thanks and praise to our good God. A short chronology gives some of our family’s higlights over the last year and a half:
May 26, 2017 – I got back on the seemingly impossible trail: the Catholic versus Protestant question.
August 21, 2017 – I prayed the Rosary for the first time (and every day since).
September 10, 2017 – I was confirmed into the Catholic Church.
December 24, 2017 – I posted my first blog, waiting on Midnight Mass.
June 24, 2018 – My 21-year-old son entered the Catholic Church by Baptism.
Summer 2018 – My wife and I started the process for an international adoption.
Fall 2018 – My wife and (now) 19-year-old son started RCIA.
Today – I am looking forward to Midnight Mass at the Cathedral-Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Mobile, Alabama.
Please pray for my family, as I hope to see my wife and son enter the Church at Easter 2019; my wife by Confirmation and my son by Baptism. And, of course, please pray that the Lord blesses our adoption efforts with success. Blessings to you and yours on this Christmas Eve, 2018.
ONE LORD. ONE FAITH. ONE BAPTISM.
